Asphalt mixing plant manufacturers are here to talk to you.
Hot-mix asphalt mixture is a conventional road paving and repair material. Its performance meets the design requirements, but the construction is more troublesome, especially when used for repair, the cost is very high.
Cold-mix asphalt mixture is also called asphalt cold patch material. Its advantage is that it is easy to construct, but its disadvantage is that it has poor stability. It is mainly used for temporary repair of small-area asphalt pavements, and is a supplement to hot-mix asphalt patch materials.
Modified asphalt is generally epoxy asphalt, and most epoxy asphalt is used for steel bridge deck paving. The one used for road repair is called epoxy asphalt cold patch material. Its characteristics are that the construction is as simple as cold patch material, and its performance can achieve the effect of hot mix material.

Asphalt mixtures can be divided into hot mix asphalt mixtures and cold mix asphalt mixtures according to the mixing and paving temperatures:
(1) Hot mix asphalt mixture (generally referred to as HMA, mixing temperature is 150℃-180℃)
(2) Cold mix asphalt mixture (generally referred to as CMA, mixing temperature is 15℃-40℃)
Hot mix asphalt mixture
Advantages: mainstream technology, good road performance
Disadvantages: heavy environmental pollution, high energy consumption, serious asphalt aging
Cold mix asphalt mixture
Advantages: environmental protection, energy saving, mixture can be stored;
Disadvantages: road performance is difficult to compare with hot mix;
