Generally, when we determine the machine material, we usually base it on the characteristics of the working medium, and the same is certainly true for asphalt mixing equipment.
If there are no special requirements, similar mixing equipment is made of carbon steel. It can be suitable for most working conditions as long as the temperature is not higher than 350°C, and the price is relatively low. However, this material cannot be used in asphalt mixing stations. Asphalt is a very hot substance, but it does not meet the requirements in terms of high temperature resistance, and carbon steel has poor corrosion resistance.
In view of the above requirements, asphalt mixers made of stainless steel or glass-lined materials can be used. But no matter which one it is, there are more detailed material classifications, so the specific model must be determined according to its own mixing conditions, mixing temperature and corrosiveness.
