Determining the material is a necessary stage in the design process of the asphalt mixing plant, and it is also one of the most critical links, because the material will directly affect the use effect and service life of the entire equipment. Generally, when we determine the material of the machine, we usually use the characteristics of the working medium as the basis, and the asphalt mixing plant is of course the same.
If there are no special requirements, similar asphalt mixing plants are made of carbon steel, which can be used in most working conditions as long as the temperature is not higher than 350℃, and the price is relatively low. However, asphalt mixing plants cannot use this material. Asphalt is a substance with good temperature resistance, it does not meet the requirements in terms of high temperature resistance, and carbon steel has poor corrosion resistance.
In view of the above requirements, stainless steel asphalt mixers or glass-lined materials can be used. But no matter which one, there are more detailed material classifications, so the specific model should be determined according to its own mixing conditions, mixing temperature and corrosiveness.
